This female-fronted, Los Angeles-based ambient stoner rock quartet delivers a pensive debut. With six sprawling tracks of post-doom psych-rock, where the tension-building guitars mainly buffer the atmospheric vocals, Wyllt -- produced by Scott Reeder of Kyuss and Unida -- is both calming ("Origin of Savagery") and ominous ("Torment of the Metals"), and usually both within the same song ("Bird of All Faiths and None/ Bell From Madrone").
